Terms and Conditions

Balanced Media Pty Limited (BalancedMedia.com.au) is the Promoter of the "Win an IPad" promotion ("Promotion"). Participation in the Promotion is subject to these terms and conditions.

When

The Promotion begins 12:01 AM local AEST time on 16 June 2010 and ends 11:59 PM local AEST time on 16 August 2010 ("Promotion Period").

Eligibility

The Promotion is open only to legal residents of Australia who are 18 years of age or older and are subscribers to Balancedmedia.com.au and who have a valid working email account at the time of entry.

You must not violate any terms of the www.balancedmedia.com (the "site") Terms of Use. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all their contact details registered with or submitted to Shopping.com are correct. Entrants will forfeit their right to claim the prize in the event that their contact details are inaccurate or wrong

How to enter

To participate in this Promotion you must complete in full the subscription form and submit it through the Balancedmedia.com.au website

Entrants may not submit a subscription, which has been submitted before, either by themselves or by someone else which has the same email address or name.

Only entries received from 16 June 2010 to 16 August 2010 will be entered in the Draw, one email entry per person.

Random Draw

The draw will be conducted on 23 August 2010 at 5 Albany Forest Drv, Albany Creek, Qld by Balancedmedia.com in the presence of an independent observer. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries as of the date of the draw. Potential winners will be notified by email and we will require you to confirm other personal details so prize can be transferred to you.

Prizes

The first eligible entries drawn will receive an Apple Ipad 16GB with WiFi valued at AU $629 (IPad) Winner will be notified by email and winner will be highlighted on BalancedMedia.com.au on 24 August 2010.

The Promoter may conduct further draws at the same time & place as the original draw, if necessary, on 16 September 2010, in order to distribute any prize if unclaimed by the original winner. Winner will be notified by email and winner will be notified on BalancedMedia.com.au on 18 September  2010.

Prize values are the recommended retail values as provided by the suppliers and are correct at the time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prize.

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all their contact details registered with or submitted to BalancedMedia.com.au are correct. Entrants will forfeit their right to claim the prize in the event that their contact details are inaccurate or wrong.

Winner should allow up to 4-6 weeks from time of final notification for product to arrive.

Winners are solely responsible for paying any taxes or other expenses associated with prizes. BalancedMedia.com.au will report prize values to taxing authorities if required by applicable law. Prizes may not be transferred.

Miscellaneous

The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not complete and/or in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute.

BalancedMedia.com.au and the Promoter accept no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected or incomplete entries.

Signing Up to the Win an Ipad competition places you onto the Balanced Media Subscriber databases, you will from time to time be sent information relating the Balanced Media and organisations involved with Balanced Media, you details will never be sold or reproduced in any form or given to anybody else apart from Balanced Media.

The Promoter is not liable for any injury, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) which is suffered or sustained as a result of or in connection with participating in this Promotion or receiving, taking or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Any tax liability arising as a result of receiving, taking or using the prize is the responsibility of the winner.

The Promoter is not responsible for any technical malfunctions or problem on internet congestion, including injury or damage to a person's computer related to participation in the Promotion.

If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to modify the terms of the Promotion including the prize and these Terms and Conditions.

Each participant agrees to comply with all applicable laws in participating in the Promotion and not to provide false or misleading personal information, and, in particular, agrees not to register under a false identity. Each participant is responsible for notifying BalancedMedia.com.au immediately to report all changes to the information he or she provided at registration.

Participants must not:

a.      use machines, algorithms or other automatic functions to generate contents or accesses to web pages.

Personal data given by the participants for this Promotion will be retained and used in accordance with the Promoter's Privacy Policy, which is available at http://www.balancedmedia.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=97&Itemid=91

The Promotion is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as a cash lump sum. The Promoter's decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
